I'm really not sure about this, and the answer to this question is very important to if I can call this game 'bad' or 'decent'.

Home is very, very clearly a game based around the narrative. There really isn't any gameplay depth to it, which is fine if the story itself is good.

The story itself, however is...questionable. The events portrayed are intentionally confusing and left ambiguous, to the degree it's impossible for a player to actually determine what the story of the game is- several of the possible plot reveals explicitly contradict each other, and near the end the player is literally asked to decide what happens.

So, my question is, when the game was written, was there a clearly established sequence of events that were portrayed to the player in an abstract manner, or is the 'story' a chain of intentionally confusing and contradictary events with no actually valid interpretation?
